of suicide, and a real fear that the rest of my life was going to be an experience of suffering until the very end.
I’ve known the pain and suffering that addictive substances and behaviors can bring to one’s life.
I’ve spent years of my life abusing alcohol or misusing other substances and behaviors in order to escape, avoid or numb my internal discomfort and pain.
I’ve lived through some of the many consequences one can face when a person turns to addictive substances and behaviors in an attempt to cope with the pain of today and survive for tomorrow.
Not only has addiction touched my life personally, but I have also seen substance use disorder and addiction destroy and take the lives of close friends and family members.
Fortunately for me, something changed inside of me and my life didn’t continue down that spiral forever. A spark of hope inspired me to fight my way out of the darkness and find a better way.
I consider myself very lucky. Not all who have struggled with substance misuse or addiction are fortunate enough to find the help and resources I have.
Because I know the pain and I see the suffering all around me, I’ve made it a personal mission to share what I have learned and what has made the difference in my life.
During the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by some of the brightest human potential trainers and addiction experts in the world. I’ve chosen to devote my time to studying human potential and the science of human flourishing so I could apply what I’ve learned to my own life and guide others along a similar path.
What I have learned and begun sharing with others has made such an impact, I’ve decided to devote my professional time and energy to serving people in this specific way.
What I know about substance use disorder and addiction:
➡ The chains of substance misuse and addiction hold so many back from living into their potential and experiencing the joy, the fulfillment, and the sense of purpose they yearn for.
➡ Many people, especially those in recovery, live with a sense that there should be more to life — more happiness, more joy, more meaning, more purpose.
➡ Without help or direction, it can be impossible to find these things missing from life.
➡ I spent the past few years developing the Thriving in YOUR Recovery program to provide that help and direction so that others might find their way out of that dark place and into their true potential.
➡ I know there are more people suffering than I could ever reach personally, but I want to help those I can. If you are looking for a better way to experience recovery, I want to help you succeed by working with you in this Thriving in YOUR Recovery program.
